ALL OVER THE MAP is Now Playing at the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center in Basking Ridge

Acclaimed storyteller Bill Bowers recently sat down to discuss his newest show, All Over the Map, currently running through June 18th at the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center in Basking Ridge.  The show is being presented by the American Theater Group (ATG), a professional regional theater company currently celebrating its tenth season. 

American Theater Group to Stage ALL OVER THE MAP

The American Theater Group (ATG), Somerset County’s professional theater company celebrating its tenth season, will present All Over the Map, an autobiographical one-man show performed by Bill Bowers, about his 30 years on the road performing in 26 countries, on Broadway, in the White House --and in the finest grade school cafeterias. The show begins previews June 9th, opens on June 11th and runs through June 18th, at the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center in Basking Ridge, NJ.

The American Theater Group (ATG), Somerset County’s professional, regional theater company celebrating its tenth season, will honor two-time Tony Award-winning actress Christine Ebersole at its annual Gala on Sunday, June 26th, at the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center in Basking Ridge, NJ. 

American Theater Group Presents New Works/New Voices Playwriting Event

The American Theater Group will present its New Works/New Voices playwriting performance on Monday, May 2nd at 7pm at Thomas Jefferson Arts Academy in Elizabeth.  This free event is part of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance's Stages Festival, the state's largest annual theater festival, which provides free and discounted theater events for all ages from March through May.

The American Theater Group (ATG), Somerset County’s newest professional theater company, was recently awarded a $37,640 grant from the Somerset County Cultural and Heritage Commission.

American Theatre Group to Hold Free Play Reading Series

The American Theater Group (ATG), Somerset County’s newest professional theater company, will present a series of free Monday night play readings in February and March at the Mitchell and Ann Sieminski Theater at the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center in Basking Ridge, NJ. All performances will begin at 7pm and are open to the public; tickets are not required.

Playwright Pandora Scooter was first drawn to life in the theater as a fifth grader. She was assigned a book report, and rather than simply write one, she decided to perform it for the class. “Fortunately, I had a teacher who encouraged me,” she explained. “From that point on, I knew I loved theatre.”

Ripped from today's headlines, this is the story of a farming community and its struggles with issues of immigration, loyalty, family survival and compassion.

CURTAIN CALL to Take Place on 10/23 for New Jersey Theatre Alliance Day

In a proclamation dated September 19, 2017, Morristown Mayor Timothy P. Dougherty declared that October 23, 2017 will be known as New Jersey Theatre Alliance Day. On that day, New Jersey Theatre Alliance ( the Alliance ) will host Curtain Call, its annual celebration of theatre, at the Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, honoring the artistic directors of its member theatres for their dedication and artistic vision, and Atlantic Health System for its support of theatre programming that enhances the health and wellbeing of New Jersey residents. The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and includes buffet stations, wine and beer, entertainment, a silent auction, and a raffle.

Maplewood Playwright Erin Mallon to Debut New Play at SOPAC

On May 21 at 7 p.m., Erin Mallon's new play, A Mind Out of the Gutter, will be presented by American Theater Group in a reading in the South Orange Performing Arts Center Loft. The reading gives professional actors a chance to bring life to the play as they read with script-in-hand, and gives audiences the opportunity to give valuable feedback to the playwright as she continues to refine the work.
