A holiday mash-up for the whole family, The Hip Hop Nutcracker returns to the stage for its seventh season on tour.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts will celebrate the joyous holiday season with five different concerts, shows and special presentations:

The Huntington announces the New England premiere of Teenage Dick by Mike Lew, a darkly comic re-telling of Shakespeare's Richard III set in the most treacherous of places -high school. The production runs from December 3, 2021 to January 2, 2022 at The Huntington's Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, and with digital access to the filmed performance through January 16, 2022.

Everything old is new again. Tchaikovsky's 129-year-old ballet is reimagined as a holiday dance spectacle in The Hip Hop Nutcracker, hitting the road to 34 cities. The tour kicks off in San Diego on November 6 before zig-zagging around the country to Oakland, St. Louis, Atlanta, New York City, Boston and more.

This season, the Holiday spirit will return to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center with a stellar line-up. Celebrate the season with spectacular performances with must-see holiday shows by chart-topping and Grammy winner artists and their first-time shows at NJPAC.

 The production -- now in its triumphant return for a seventh season -- features hip hop pioneer Kurtis “The Breaks” Blow, the first rapper to be signed by a major label in 1979. Forty-two years and a heart transplant later, hip hop’s founding father is still performing as MC of The Hip Hop Nutcracker.

By popular demand, The Story Pirates and Tony Award-winning producer Eva Price (Jagged Little Pill, Peter and The Starcatcher) have announced today that SLEEP SQUAD is now available through nine presenting partners, both regional theaters and performing arts centers, across the country. Ticket sales have been extended through February 21, 2021.
