Jeffrey Tambor Will Host A Creative Workshop At Ridgefield Playhouse

Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actor Jeffrey Tambor (a?oeThe Larry Sanders Show,a?? a?oeArrested Development,a?? a?oeTransparenta??) is bringing his 6-week creative workshop, Performing Your Life: The Art of the Personal Monologue to The Ridgefield Playhouse, Tuesdays, 7-10pm, October 15 - November 19. Over the past four decades, Tambor has been an inspiration both on and off-screen, bringing many iconic characters to life while cultivating a uniquely personal approach to his craft. Tambor's workshop guides actors, writers and directors through the art of the personal monologue in a hands-on exploration of process. This empowering class focuses on identifying and conquering the fears that keep us from trusting our own creative voices. The class culminates with a performance on November 22 on The Playhouse stage, starring some of the students of the class showcasing the monologues they have worked on. Students will walk away from this workshop with a five-minute monologue a?" perfect for an audition -- as they move on with more courage, confidence and creativity in their career. This workshop is part of Adam Broderick Salon & Spa Whole New You Series with support from Reliance Merchant Services. Scholarships are available through the Beth and Bruce Becker Scholarship Fund.
Steve Coogan to Receive Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award For Excellence In Comedy

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) is pleased to announce that multi BAFTA-winning actor and comedian Steve Coogan will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy Presented by Jaguar Land Rover at the 2019 British Academy Britannia Awards. He joins previously announced honoree Jane Fonda, who will receive the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film Presented by Cunard, and Jackie Chan, who will receive the Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment.

Amazon Prime has released the trailer for the muscial finale of Transparent, written by Jill Soloway and starring Judith Light Gaby Hoffmann, Amy Landecker, Jay Duplass, Alexandra Billings, Kathryn Hahn, Shakina Nayfack, and Trace Lysetteand. It was previously announced that Jeffrey Tambor would not return for the finale, and that the musical episode deals with the loss of Tambor's character Maura.

The Amazon series 'Transparent' will end with a musical episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The fifth season of the series will be it's last, and the final episode will be a musical episode, creator Jill Soloway told The New York Times.

According to Deadline, Jeffrey Tambor is set to appear on the upcoming fifth season of the comedy hit ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT when it returns on Netflix. Tambor recently exited the Amazon original series TRANSPARENT amid sexual harassment claims. The allegations have come from two members of the shows family. According to the show's official Twitter account, the hit series ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT is set for return very, very soon. The shows creator, Mitch Hurwitz, says in the posted letter: 'A new fifth season of Arrested Development will be coming back to Netflix soon. Like real soon. Like, if you knew when, you would not be wrong to be thinking 'why are we all just hearing this now?' Well, I don't mean to be defensive, but I don't know why everyone's suddenly mad at me.'
Amazon's TRANSPARENT Unlikely To Return This Year Following The Exit of Jeffrey Tambor

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the removal of Emmy-winner Jeffrey Tambor has postponed the return date of Amazon series TRANSPARENT. The actor was recently removed from the show following claims of sexual harassment from two of his colleagues. With production not scheduled to begin until the end of the year, the show will not be returning in 2018.
