Theatre Three in Dallas will present DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS on the Norma Young Arena Stage, reimagined in a glitter-soaked 1970s casino setting directed by Vonda K. Bowling.

Theatre Three will present James Goldman’s THE LION IN WINTER from December 4–28 on the Norma Young Arena Stage. Directed by Matthew Gray, the production will feature Artistic Director Jeffrey Schmidt and Associate Artistic Director Christie Vela.

Theatre Three will present THE TRADE: A TRAGEDY IN FOUR QUARTERS by Dallas’ own Matt Lyle and Matt Coleman. A fast-paced, highly unauthorized, foam middle-fingered satire.

Those who knock Shakespeare like to say that his plays aren’t relevant to our lives or our society – what I think they really mean is that the language he uses is challenging for us, and thus doesn’t seem relevant, but let’s give them the benefit of the doubt.  Rather than point them to Anthony Jeselnik’s infinitely tasteless (so I’m not linking to it) but wildly funny response to this complaint (which they rarely appreciate), I now instead ask them about Measure for Measure.

Theatre Three opens the 2023/24 Season with a bang, or rather a WHACK! Directed by Shyama Nithiananda with Music Direction by Gary Adler, LIZZIE: THE MUSICAL explores the mind of Lizzie Borden and speculates on the motivations she may have had: overwhelming oppression, abuse and madness.

 As an homage to one of Theatre Too’s most popular productions, Theatre Three is announcing the return of Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Robert’s I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change to headline the grand opening of the intimate downstairs space that has been closed since 2020.

BIG SCARY ANIMALS invites you to Oaklawn where a small group of unlikely neighbors share drinks with a side of damning glares and dark secrets. Theatre Three September 1-25.

The critically acclaimed and audience favorite previously titled Cedar Springs or Big Scary Animals will now see a production in the Norma Young Arena Stage at Theatre Three with an updated script and a (mostly) new cast and production team!

At the request of Dallas Fire Rescue, Theatre Three will be cancelling preview performances of “Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” this weekend and the Monday night performance (June 9-June 13).
