The Hadestown National Tour’s stop at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis delivers an unforgettable theatrical experience that captivates from start to finish. Overall, we were glad we gave this show another chance. It will never be my favorite show, but it doesn’t have to be. It had some beautiful moments and some important messages about knowing what you are meant to offer the world and about not giving into doubt. Despite any negative opinions I have of the show, it did give us that. And that’s a pretty powerful thing to give.

The Tony- and Grammy-winning Best Musical Hadestown will play for six performances at the Harris Center for the Arts from December 12-15.

This weekend through Sunday, November 10th, Broadway San Diego will take you to hell and back with the fantastic touring production of the musical “Hadestown.”

In the end, the show is all about seduction, and it has all the dark, gritty sex appeal of a dingy French Quarter speakeasy. That is to say: It’s got the sultry rhythm and blues to sweep you into the fun even if you don’t know exactly why you’re there.

Hadestown, the winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will return to San Diego this Fall.
