Theatre Philadelphia's Barrymore Awards were announced yesterday. The awards recognized the best Philadelphia area theater from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018. Judges and recommenders saw 112 productions by 40 companies were eligible, of which 10 companies won awards, for 11 productions.

The nominations have been announced for the 2018 Equity Joseph Jefferson ('Jeff') Awards.

Theatre Philadelphia, the region's marketing and leadership organization for theatre, proudly announces the 2018 nominees for the Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theatre. Celebrating the rich, diverse professional theatre scene in the Greater Philadelphia region, the Barrymore Ceremony will be held on Monday, November 5th at 7pm at the Bok Building at 1901 S. 9th Street in South Philadelphia. The American Tap Dance Foundation's TAP DANCE AWARDS will be presented on Tuesday, July 10 at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater, Symphony Space at 7pm. The ceremony will honor winners of the organization's Hoofer and Tap Preservation Awards and include inductions into the ATDF Tap Dance Hall of Fame. The awards evening, which will also offer film presentations and performances, is a featured event of 'TAP CITY,' the week-long celebration of tap dance returning to New York City for its 18th consecutive year (July 7 to 13).
