Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller and Jill Furman, the producers of the 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights, announced today that Justina Machado will take over the role of ?Daniela? for 8 weeks only from Monday, June 29, through Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Broadway?s Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street).

The third annual TeatroStageFest, highlighting the work of Latino and Ibero-American theatre artists, launched on Monday, June 15 at Joe's Pub with the concert 'Broadway's R.Evolución Latina.'

On Thursday June 4th, Lin-Manuel Miranda had his very own Broadway Wall of Fame portrait unveiled at the popular theater district Italian eatery, Tony DiNapoli's. Tony DiNapoli's is located at 147 43rd Street.

Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller and Jill Furman, the lead producers of the 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical IN THE HEIGHTS, announced today in a statement the recoupment of the show's $10 million investment after running only 10 months (337 performances) since opening on Broadway Sunday, March 9, 2008, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street).

The production recently welcomed new cast members Marcy Harriell and Rick Negron.

IN THE HEIGHTS welcomes Rick Negron on December 19th when takes on the role of Kevin Rosario at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. He replaces Carlos Gomez, Negr?n was a member of the early reading of the show.

The New York City Council will honor the 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical IN THE HEIGHTS with a special Proclamation. Speaker Christine Quinn and NYC Councilmember Miguel Martinez and Councilmember Robert Jackson will present the Proclamation to IN THE HEIGHTS' producer Jill Furman and composer/leading actor Lin-Manuel Miranda for the show's success in introducing millions of people to the vibrant neighborhood and its residents situated at the top of the island of Manhattan. The event will take place on Thursday December 18th in the City Hall Chambers.
