The local, fan-favorite Broadway cabaret series Broadway on a Tuesday is back and bigger than before! Broadway on a Tuesday was first onstage at Alexandre's in August 2016, with Ms. Oliver and singers from the DFW Theatre Community rotating weekly and will be back at Alexandre's on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023. I sat down with Florida-based Kimberly Oliver to discuss some of the biggest news coming to the DFW theatre community in 2023.

Revival Theatre Company (RTC) opens its sixth season with the Iowa premiere of End of the Rainbow, a bitterly-sweet, funny drama about the final years in the life of Judy Garland. 'If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow, why, oh, why, can't I?' End of the Rainbow features a glorious ensemble of Judy Garland fan favorites. The glamour and melancholy of stardom will be on full display.

The Firehouse Theatre has announced its 2020 season, which includes beloved classics, new work, a fan favorite, and a holiday show. The theme for the season is Do Something. The bold season opens with patron favorite The Drowsy Chaperone January 30 a?" February 23, 2020, which The Firehouse Theatre produced five years ago starring Janelle Lutz. To kick off its 18th season, Uptown Players will present the world premiere of A Very Judy Christmas. Written and directed by B.J. Cleveland, the production runs December 1-16, 2018 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater, and marks the return of  Janelle Lutz as Judy Garland.

Second Thought Theatre announced today details for this year's Second Thought State of Mind, an event celebrating STT and gathering support for the award-winning theatre company. The fifth annual Second Thought State of Mind invites guests to an evening of fun and fundraising featuring entertainment by Janelle Lutz. Second Thought State of Mind 2018 will take place on Friday, November 2 at Sammons Center for the Arts.

Brick Road Theatre will present the hit musical Mamma Mia! at Courtyard Theatre (1509 H Ave in Plano, Texas) October 19 - 28, 2018 directed by Katharine Quinn with music direction by Isaac Leaverton. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm. Tickets cost $30 and can be purchased at the Box Office or online at brickroadtheatre.org.
