Broadway for Biden has announced updates for upcoming fundraiser In Our America: A Concert for the Soul of the Nation. The one-night only virtual event will bring Broadway together to celebrate hope and benefit the Biden Victory Fund.

Season One of OWN and Warner Horizon Scripted Television's Peabody Award-winning series DAVID MAKES MAN, a one-hour lyrical drama created by Academy Award®-winning screenwriter and Tony Award-nominated playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney (“Moonlight”), will be available to stream on HBO Max starting July 16.

Geffen Playhouse today announced the full cast for its West Coast premiere of Bernhardt/Hamlet, written by Theresa Rebeck (Dead Accounts, Seminar) and directed by Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George). The production features Diane Venora (Bird, Romeo + Juliet) as Sarah Bernhardt.

On Monday, January 27th the Broadway's Future Songbook series at Lincoln Center, presented by Arts and Artists of Tomorrow showcased the music and lyrics of Ben Caplan. Performers included  Nicholas Barasch (She Loves Me), Ashley Blanchet (Frozen), Jake Boyd (Wicked), Harrison Chad (Caroline, or Change), Alexis Field (50 Shades! The Musical), Damon J. Gillespie (NBC's Rise), Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton), Danté Jeanfelix (Balls), Taylor Iman Jones (Head Over Heels), Charlotte Maltby (The Sound of Music), Michael Ryan (Newsies), Monet Sabel (Sweeney Todd), Heath Saunders (The Great Comet), Ben Schrager (Ms. Estrada), Ari McKay Willford (Once), and Brynn Williams (SpongeBob SquarePants).

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) celebrates its 60th birthday on Saturday, February 8 at 8 pm with Broadway Inside Out, a thrilling evening of gender-swapped songs from Broadway musicals directed by Executive Artistic Director Marilyn Langbehn, with music direction by Sheela Ramesh, and choreography by Allison Paraiso-Silicani.  OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today that its anticipated new drama series “David Makes Man” from Academy Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney (“Moonlight”) and Warner Horizon Scripted Television will premiere on Wednesday, August 14 at 10 p.m. ETPT following the network's critically acclaimed drama “Queen Sugar” (Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ETPT).  The series premiere will be presented by Lexus with limited commercial interruption.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today the world premiere of its highly anticipated new drama series, “David Makes Man,” from Academy Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney (“Moonlight”) and Warner Horizon Scripted Television at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival as an Official Episodic Selection, with the screening and panel Q&A taking place on Sunday, March 10 at 5:30pm CT. McCraney serves as executive producer of the series alongside Dee Harris-Lawrence (“Shots Fired,” “Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.”) who serves as showrunner.
