Full Cast Announced For The London Premiere Of SNOWFLAKE

With the world premiere of Anupama Chandrasekhar's When the Crows Visit about to open in Kilburn, and Florian Zeller's The Son running in the West End, Artistic Director of Kiln Theatre Indhu Rubasingham today announces the full cast for the London première of Mike Bartlett's latest play Snowflake which will run at Kiln Theatre over Christmas. Clare Lizzimore directs Elliot Levy (Andy) and Ellen Robertson (Maya) who created their roles in the original run at Old Fire Station in Oxford; and they will be joined by Amber James (Natalie). The production opens on 16 December, with previews from 10 December; and also announced today ,the production extends for an additional week, now running until 25 January 2020. With her production of the world première of Anupama Chandrasekhar's When the Crows Visit in rehearsals, Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham today announces Pass Over, A Museum in Baghdad and The Glee Club which will be staged at Kiln Theatre in 2020, following the previously announced Snowflake by Mike Bartlett.

The word 'community', like many others in modern usage, has become so over-used, mis-used and co-opted by the lazy (politicians) to lump people together in a way that neither honours their experience, nor recognises their individual brilliance. It has almost become a dirty word.

Following a critically acclaimed sell out run at Kiln Theatre, Michael Longhurst's production of Florian Zeller's The Son, in a translation by Christopher Hampton, transfers to the West End. The production opened at the Duke of York's Theatre on 2 September, with previews from 24 August, and runs until 2 November. Amanda Abbington, Laurie Kynaston, John Light and Amaka Okafor reprise their lauded performances for the strictly limited 10 week run. The Son marks the first West End transfer for the Kiln Theatre since it reopened last September, and is presented in the West End by Fiery Angel and Gavin Kalin Productions.

Papatango today announces the creative team for the world première of Samuel Bailey's Shook a?" this year's winner of the annual Papatango New Writing Prize. The company's Artistic Director George Turvey directs, with set and costume design by Jasmine Swan, lighting design by Johanna Town, and sound design by Richard Hammarton. The production opens on 1 November at Southwark Playhouse, with previews from 30 October, and runs until 23 November 2019. Following the run at Southwark Playhouse, the production tours to Hope Street Theatre, Liverpool (26 November), Theatr Clwyd (27 - 28 November), Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough (30 November) and Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury (4 - 7 December).

As rehearsals begin for Blues in Night, Artistic Director of Kiln Theatre, Indhu Rubasingham announces the full company. Joining the previously announced Sharon D Clarke (The Lady), Debbie Kurup (The Woman), Clive Rowe (The Man) and Gemma Sutton (The Girl) are Aston New (The Hustler) and Joseph Poulton (The Barman) to complete the company for the first major London revival in 30 years. Susie McKenna's production opens on 24 July, with previews from 18 July, and runs until 7 September.
