Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 51st summer season with a three-week run of a unique stage adaptation of the classic MGM musical “The Wizard of Oz”.

Geva Theatre welcomes Rosé from RuPaul's Drag Race and Savy Jackson from Bad Cinderella on Broadway to Rochester for the opening production of the 23/24 Season, director Zi Alikhan's newly re-envisioned production of the classic musical The Wizard of Oz.

Delightfully charming but also now slightly dated, MTW's expectedly family-friendly, colorfully saturated production is indeed a lovely, mostly entertaining stage recreation of the movie classic. But curiously, at times, the show feels subdued and tamed-down, and in dire need of an extra jolt of energy to match the story’s wildly madcap, campy premise.

 The Santa Barbara Symphony has announced its 2023-24 season, continuing a musical legacy focused on the transformative power of music. Vital Theatre Company has announced the launch of its first production in Lancaster County, the company's one-hour, six-actor 'The Wizard of Oz' The production is directed by Stephen Sunderlin and choreographed by Rebecca Frazier, based on original adaption and direction by Vital Theatre Company co-founder Michael Schloegl.

The Palace Theater, Waterbury and the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra have announced that the two organizations are joining forces to present the beloved classic film, The Wizard of Oz, with live orchestral accompaniment on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2 PM.
