Atlanta Lyric Theatre presents this sparkling, larger than life production October 19-November 4, 2018. After a fabulous run in Gwinnett county, the Lyric is pleased to bring this exciting collaboration with Aurora Theatre to its audiences. Based on the 1992 motion picture, NEWSIES features a score by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Sister Act) and Jack Feldman and a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage aux Folles, Torch Song Trilogy). When Greg Kamp first performed at the Aurora Theatre in A CHORUS LINE, he was a college without a professional theatre credit to his name. Now eight years and many successful stage and screen productions later, Kamp is back from New York to lead NEWSIES on the Lawrenceville stage.

Broadway Dreams Foundation alumni Sidney DuPont (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Rachael Washington, and current student Dylan Christopher Gibson join the previously announced cast of Broadway faculty, alumni, and students for the June 12th Concert at Green Room 42.

This week, Broadway Dreams will workshop and present a staged reading of the new musical Mary & Max at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA. Through an integrated partnership between the not-for-profit performing arts training program and the musical's creators, Broadway Dreams students and faculty will have the opportunity to be actively involved in the process of creating a new musical.

Broadway Dreams and writer Drew Fornarola (STRAIGHT, Claudio Quest) will team up to present an evening of songs from Fornarola's musicals at the beautiful new Green Room 42 on 42nd Street. The event will be held on June 12th at 8pm and will help kick off the Broadway Dreams New York City Musical Theatre Intensive. Tickets are $20.

An invite-only presentation of the new musical Mary & Max took place yesterday starring Tony Winner SHULER HENSLEY (Oklahoma, Sweet Charity, The Whale), Tony Nominee SYDNEY LUCAS (Fun Home), Drama Desk Nominee JULIA MURNEY, The Color Purple's KYLE SCATLIFFE, and LAUREN ELDER (Sideshow, Hair).

Broadway Dreams and The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will ring in 2017 with a free performance at 4:15 pm on Sunday, January 1, 2017 on the Commonwealth Plaza Level of the Kimmel Center.
