It’s been 30 years since Jonathan Larson’s rock opera Rent opened at the Nederlander Theatre on April 29, 1996, and arguably changed the theatrical landscape of Broadway.
BroadwayWorld has learned that a live concert performance of Rent will be taking place this year! The concert will feature RENT’s original musical director, Tim Weil, on the keys, with the original Rent band.
