Bang on a Can's 2013-2014 season takes the new music collective's house bands - the Bang on a Can All-Stars and Asphalt Orchestra - on multiple tours throughout the world, for performances as far-flung geographically as Lawrence, Kansas; New York, NY; Krakow, Poland; Paris, France; Istanbul, Turkey; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Essen, Germany; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Moscow, Russia; Macau, China; Seoul, South Korea; Washington, DC; North Adams, MA; and many other places around the globe.
Joe Satriani Kicks Off North American Tour Today

Joe Satriani has been an unstoppable force on the music scene for over 27 years. Now, the guitar great announces his full U.S. tour and first ever cross-Canada tour, supporting his latest album Unstoppable Momentum. The tour is set to launch today, August 29th in San Diego, CA before crisscrossing its way across the US, in addition to a trans-Canadian tour where Satriani will be hitting many Canadian cities for the very first time. The North American tour will end with a show on October 26 in Oakland, CA.

Linda Ronstadt 'Can't Sing A Note' Due to Parkinson's Diagnosis

AARP reports that singer Linda Ronstadt has revealed that she suffers from Parkinson's disease, which has affected her ability to perform for some time. Diagnosed eight months ago, Ronstadt told the organization that she 'can't sing a note' and that she realizes now she had started to show symptoms years ago.

The William H. Gile Series presents ASPHALT ORCHESTRA at the Capitol Center for the Arts on Tuesday, September 10, at 7:30 p.m. Since its inception in 2009 Asphalt Orchestra has energized audiences from New York's Lincoln Center to London's Barbican Centre, and throughout the US. The 12-member band has redefined the idea of a mobile ensemble and has been described as "Not Your Mother's Marching Band' by The Philadelphia Inquirer and "An iconoclastic 12 piece marching band... part parade spectacle, part halftime show and part cutting-edge contemporary music concert' by The New York Times.This event is free of charge; however tickets need to be reserved to ensure seating.

Joe Satriani has just confirmed the dynamic ground breaking hard rock outfit LIVING COLOUR to the bill supporting the West Coast leg of his upcoming U.S. tour. Living Colour will join the world renowned guitarist when he hits Seattle, WA on October 22nd and will continue through Salem and Paso Robles before winding up on October 26th in SATRIANI's home base, in the Bay Area, with a show at the Fox Theater in Oakland.
