Robert Fairchild Led FRANKENSTEIN Begins Performances Off-Broadway Tonight

Ensemble for the Romantic Century has announced that joining Tony nominee Robert Fairchild in the Off-Broadway premiere of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein will be Avey Noble (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Krysty Swann (Mozart's Requiem at Carnegie Hall; Verdi'sRequiem at Lincoln Center), Mia Vallet (Lucy Thurber's Asheville at Rattlestick), Peyton Lusk (Falsettos on Broadway), Rocco Sisto (OBIE Award for sustained excellence), Shiv Ajay Pancholi-Parekh, and Paul Wesley ('The Vampire Diaries,' Cal In Camo).

Performances of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein will begin Thursday December 21st at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues). Opening Night is set for December 27th. This limited Off-Broadway engagement will run through January 7th only. Donald T. Sanders will direct.

Miami City Ballet Presents George Balanchine's THE NUTCRACKER

Miami City Ballet's new redesign of the magical George Balanchine's The Nutcracker will feature enchanting new costumes and sets by the designer-artist power couple Isabel and Ruben Toledo, Balanchine's glorious choreography and Tchaikovsky's beloved score.

More Than 300 Chicagoland High School Students Unite in CHICAGO SHAKESPEARE SLAM 2017

Next week, Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) brings together more than 300 high school students from 47 public, private and parochial schools across the region for this year's Chicago Shakespeare Slam. A series of Saturdayworkshops and regional preliminary bouts throughout the fall culminate in a raucous and fun-filled Finals Bout on Monday, December 11 at 6:00 p.m. on CST's Courtyard Theater stage. Emcees warm up the crowd and an onstage DJ drops beats as nine teams perform, cheered on by a full house of fellow participants, classmates and friends. This year's Finals Bout performances will be overseen by a star-studded panel of judges (special guests to be announced).

Candice Glover, Josh Kaufman and Bianca Ryan Head HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS Tonight on Broadway

Home for the Holidays, Broadway's only Holiday show, stars Candice Glover, winner 'American Idol' Season 12; Josh Kaufman, winner of 'The Voice' Season 6; and Bianca Ryan, winner: 'America's Got Talent' Season 1. This strictly limited Broadway engagement opens tonight, November 21st, at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue) and continues through Saturday, December 30th only.

The Diverse Sounds Of Modern Mexico: DIA DE LOS MUERTE LIVE Celebrates Mariachi And Latin Rock At The McCallum Theatre

The McCallum Theatre presents Dia de los Muertos Live, featuring La Santa Cecilia, Mexrrissey, and Mariachi Flor de Toloache, on Saturday, October 28, at 8:00pm. For the first time ever, these three exciting Mexican artists are coming together to celebrate Dia de los Muertos by showcasing the diverse sounds of modern Mexico. Los Angeles-based La Santa Cecilia's unique sound blends Latin rhythms with rock and world music, earning them a Grammy for Best Latin Rock Album. Mexrrissey caringly reimagines songs by Morrissey and The Smiths in Spanish with a definitive Mexican instrumentation and voice. Grammy-nominated Mariachi Flor de Toloache is the first all-female mariachi group, whose distinct interpretation of this musical tradition most recently got them on tour with Dan Auerbach's band The Arcs.

The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare Opens on Navy Pier

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) opens its new, innovative third theater on Navy Pier, The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare, with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on September12 and the inaugural performance -- James Thierr e's The Toad Knew -- on September 19. Introducing a new trend in theatrical architecture, The Yard combines adaptive reuse with innovation in flexible design.

Q BROTHERS CHRISTMAS CAROL Returns to Chicago Shakespeare

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Katie Thompson in New Writers at 54: The Creations of Katie Thompson on Sunday, August 13 at 7:00 PM. Katie Thompson (Giant, Big Fish) brings her talented Broadway friends to Feinstein's/54 Below to debut original songs from this songwriter's many projects in the making.
