WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Shane Peterman and Associate Producer Elizabeth Kensek are proud to announce casting and creative details for the final show of the 25th Anniversary season, A Raisin in The Sun, the play that changed American Theatre forever, by the revolutionary author & playwright Lorraine Hansberry.

Natalie King is an accomplished actor, director, and teacher here in the Dallas Ft Worth area.  After beginning her career as an actor, she fell in love with the art of storytelling.  She created a performance company called Universal Connection which toured dozens of elementary schools in Dallas and Mesquite with Young Audiences. 

Shane Peterman, Producing Artistic Director has announced details of the Company's 2021-2022 Season.  This season marks the 26th for WaterTower Theatre, and the third season programmed by Producing Artistic Director Shane Peterman & Associate Producer Elizabeth Kensek. 

WaterTower Theatre unveiled a new fundraising campaign, titled Sustain the Mission, with a  simple yet critical objective: to sustain the theater through this unprecedented time for arts organizations while delivering the innovative and high-quality programming its patrons have come to expect.

The Board of Directors of WaterTower Theatre, along with Shane Peterman, Producing Artistic Director, is pleased to announce the hiring of Elizabeth Kensek as Associate Producer. Kensek formally assumed her position on Monday, August 12, 2019. She will work with theatre leadership to champion the company's artistic vision, while also overseeing much of the organization's critical production and operational tasks.

Theater 2020, the only professional theater troupe in Downtown Brooklyn, once again proves itself as a force to be reckoned with with this lovely production of Into the Woods; theirs is a force that brings with it the power and influence a dramatic performance ought to have.

THEATER 2020, Brooklyn Heights' NY award winning professional theater company is pleased to announce its Winter 2019 run of the Stephen Sondheim musical "Into The Woods," in a limited run of 16 performances, Thursday, February 21st - Sunday, March 17th, 2019. 

An isolated cabin, the Alaskan wilderness, a dangerous blizzard - join us inside Henry Harry's cabin to ride out a super storm as a mysterious visitor suddenly arrives- Rosannah DeLuce, a runaway bride.  As Henry attempts to solve the mystery of how this half-frozen bride has come to interrupt his life of solitude, they both fight to make peace with the traumatic losses of their own Brilliant Traces- the ties that bind us to the people who have shaped our identities.  Alternately repelling and connecting with each other, Rosannah & Henry explore their pasts and, in time, consider the possibilities of their present.

The story revolves around two young sisters infiltrate an underground bar catering to jazz-loving Nazis who find an escape in the music they are meant to forbid. One SS Lieutenant in particular welcomes a sweet romance, though the sisters have been tasked to seduce him to a darker fate. The nearby woods await revenge as music, dancing, boozing and secrets weave together to unlock this wild tale of youthful resistance.

The extraordinary is turned ordinary when the need to be heard, to believe in the right of happiness, overcomes what reason dictates one should do to achieve it; reason becomes as much of an ally as it is a weapon. What is so beautiful about Sondheim's Assassins is not only how the root of such an evil deed is understood as something so human, but this 'American Musical Comedy' is nothing short of brilliant - especially when presented by Brooklyn Heights' own Theater 2020.
