The Uptown Players 2022 season will close with Douglas Carter Beane's 2006 heartfelt drama, The Little Dog Laughed.

WaterTower Theatre (WTT) celebrated their new season along with the success and growth of their community, with their “New Works. New Voices. New Light.” Spring Gala. This was the organization’s first gala event in over 3 years. The celebration was held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the elegant Venue Forty 50, in Addison, Texas. 

Uptown Players will open their season with Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song, a new two-act revival of Fierstein's original 1983 Torch Song Trilogy. As the original title indicates, “Torch Song Trilogy” consisted of three plays when it originally opened on Broadway and was trimmed to two-acts for an off-Broadway revival in 2018 that later tranfered to Broadway in 2019.

Natalie King is an accomplished actor, director, and teacher here in the Dallas Ft Worth area.  After beginning her career as an actor, she fell in love with the art of storytelling.  She created a performance company called Universal Connection which toured dozens of elementary schools in Dallas and Mesquite with Young Audiences.

The Board of Directors of WaterTower Theatre, along with Shane Peterman, Producing Artistic Director, is pleased to announce the hiring of Elizabeth Kensek as Associate Producer. Kensek formally assumed her position on Monday, August 12, 2019. She will work with theatre leadership to champion the company's artistic vision, while also overseeing much of the organization's critical production and operational tasks.

An isolated cabin, the Alaskan wilderness, a dangerous blizzard - join us inside Henry Harry's cabin to ride out a super storm as a mysterious visitor suddenly arrives- Rosannah DeLuce, a runaway bride.  As Henry attempts to solve the mystery of how this half-frozen bride has come to interrupt his life of solitude, they both fight to make peace with the traumatic losses of their own Brilliant Traces- the ties that bind us to the people who have shaped our identities.  Alternately repelling and connecting with each other, Rosannah & Henry explore their pasts and, in time, consider the possibilities of their present.
