Composer Of THE WOODSMAN Edward W. Hardy Performs Works Inspired By Edgar Allan Poe & L. Frank Baum

Virtuoso violinist and EtM Con Edison Composer-in-Residence Edward W. Hardy will be performing a mixture of musical genres with original music inspired by the writings of Edgar Allan Poe and L. Frank Baum along with other premieres and arrangements of Hardy's works. Hardy is one of the youngest composers to ever be accepted into the Exploring the Metropolis Con Edison Composer Residency and is one of the most prominent composer/ violinists of solo violin repertoire for theatrical productions in New York City.

A BROOKLYN BOY Extends At The East Village Playhouse

After unprecedented demand, A Brooklyn Boy, a one man show co-written and performed by Steven Prescod and co-written and directed by Moises Roberto Belizario, will extend performances through April 28, 2018 at the East Village Playhouse (340 East 6th Street).

Primary Stage Announces Post- Show Events for SATURDAY NIGHT STRINGS

PRIMARY STAGES (Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Shane D. Hudson, Executive Director; Casey Childs, Founder) announced today Saturday Night Strings, a special post-show concert series following select Saturday night performances of A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ, written by James Inverne and directed by Andrew Leynse. All ticketholders for the evenings of Saturday, February 10 (Mariella Haubs); Saturday, February 17 (Edward W. Hardy of Sterling Strings); and Saturday, February 24 (Luisa Bastidas) are invited to remain after the performance to enjoy live music performed by special guest violinists. The concerts are free for all ticketholders for that evening's performance.

Off-Broadway's THE WOODSMAN to Continue 'Theater Close-Up' on THIRTEEN

Theater Close-Up -- the unique collaboration between THIRTEEN and the large community of New York City area Off-Broadway theaters -- will present The Woodsman, captured live on-stage in partnership with streaming service BroadwayHD, in THIRTEEN's trademark 'up-close' style.

Following two sold-out NYC engagements, The Woodsman, will conclude its critically-lauded Off-Broadway run on Sunday, May 29, 2016 (following the 7:30pm performance) at New World Stages - Stage 5 (340 West 50th Street, NYC). The production began performances on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 and officially opened on Monday, February 8, 2016.
