Just shy of a year ago which seems crazy to think about now, myself and other patrons sat in the familiar space surrounded by familiar faces to embark on a journey with a group of characters outside our normalcy. Think about that sentence for a minute. Almost a year later and we are still trying to grasp our ideals of what “normalcy” truly means. Nonetheless, the fine staff at Stageworks Theatre in Tampa’s Channelside District opened their doors once more to present an evening of live, socially distanced in person performances to remove our weary minds of the mundane, and help us escape what has now become our new normal. With names delegated on seats socially distanced away from other patrons, and masks donned by staff and audience alike, it had the welcoming feeling of being home once more. Aside from the temperature checks and socially distanced restroom protocols, the welcoming feeling of old and new friends gathering in a familiar place was comforting and much needed. The staff at Stageworks should be commended here for their top-notch protocols in place there was not an uneasy feeling to be had. Producing Artistic Director Karla Hartley welcomed everyone in her speech and with candor and compassion welcomed us back into the doors of a space we all know and love. A beautiful homage to those personally affected...stars have been placed across the front row of the audience which made for a touching tribute in these times.

Dan Levy hosted last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, where he gave a tour of SNL's COVID-safe backstage during his monologue. He also talked about his time on Schitt's Creek, and all of the good and bad ways in which the show changed his life. Levy was even joined by his father, fellow actor and Schitt's Creek co-creator and co-star.

This week's list includes new music from Josh Groban and Broadway songs from Seth MacFarlane. In addition, The SpongeBob Musical is coming to DVD, and the lyrics of Hadestown are now available!

With the impacts of COVID-19 changing daily and to ensure the wellbeing of New Jewish Theatre (NJT) patrons, artists and staff, New Jewish Theatre has had to make some changes to their season in order to do their part to help flatten the curve of the spread of this virus.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) today announces the details of its 2020-21 season. Titled Bridging the Ages, Co-Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han look to the work of Franz Schubert a?" whose music is the subject of CMS's Winter Festival a?" as the inspiration for the season. Schubert was the bridge from the Classical to Romantic age, connecting musical ideas between eras. Taken as a whole, the season will show how compositions from the earliest years of the chamber music repertory link to compositions in the middle and later years of the genre, leading to a dynamic musical presentation that encourages audiences to imagine the compositional voices of the future. The new season will also expand CMS's commitment to free digital access to chamber music through a new partnership with Tencent for the Chinese-language audience.

In the small town of Sharon Springs, NY, a real-life Rose Apothecary exists! The fictional store is featured in the television show Schitt's Creek, but Sharon Springs' Beekman 1802 Mercantile store partnered with the show to pull off an epic transformation.

Lincoln Center Education presents the premiere of Sofia Baeta's my memory, your memory, our memory at 1 pm and 8 pm on Friday December 20. Director/Choreographer Sofia Baeta, one of six 2019 Kenan Fellows at Lincoln Center Education, has brought together a team of eleven collaborators to present a dynamic, multidisciplinary exploration of memory and memory loss.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center opens the fall season of its 50th anniversary year in Alice Tully Hall on Tuesday October 15, 2019. The program will highlight Dvorák's “American” quintet—a work inspired by the plains of Spillville, Iowa, and the music of Native and African-Americans—along with works by African-American composer Harry Burleigh, and iconic American composers Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein.

The Greenwich Wine + Food Festival presented by PepsiCo announced the Serendipity 2019 Most Innovative Chefs - eight Connecticut and New York chefs recognized for their creativity, passion and expertise in culinary arts, as well as their local community efforts.
