Arcada Theatre has announced that Deborah Cox will be taking on the role of Eve/Mama in the upcoming production of Children of Eden, set to open in the summer of 2021.

Academy and Grammy Award Winning composer, Stephen Schwartz (Music and Lyrics), John Caird (Book), and an A-list Chicago artistic team are in collaboration to mount a revamped production of Children of Eden, a musical freely based on the Book of Genesis, in the Chicago area, scheduled to open Summer 2021.

Broadway star, Norm Lewis, will lead Children of Eden at the Arcada Theatre in Chicago along with David Phelps and Brian Justin Crum,

Broadway veteran and America's Got Talent contestant, Brian Justin Crum, will be taking on the role of Cain/Japheth in Stephen Schwartz and John Caird's Children of Eden, set to open at the historic Arcada Theatre this coming August for a limited engagement Broadway-scaled upgrade.

The McCallum Theatre welcomes the sensational a cappella group Voctave, performing its holiday show The Spirit of the Season, on Monday, December 16, at 7:00pm. The show is made possible through the generosity of Harold and Maudella Green.a??a??a??a??a??a??a?? Voctave is an 11-member a cappella group from the Central Florida area known for gorgeous performances of Disney and Broadway hitsa?"as well as beautifully arranged holiday songs. The group formed in the winter of 2015, with roots in the Walt Disney Entertainment worlda?"but the group's range does not stop there. From gospel music to musical theater, contemporary Christian to barbershop, pop music to choral specialties, Voctave voices have covered it all, both in and out of the a cappella realm.

Voctave, the YouTube sensation with over 100 million views, will bring its popular holiday show to The Soraya on Sunday, December 15 at 3:00pm. With dynamically rich harmonies and pitch perfect melodies, Voctave's The Spirit of the Season is a holiday treat for the entire family.  The Soraya's 2019 holiday programming also includes Aspen Sante Fe Ballet's The Nutcracker on December 7 & 8 and Nochebuena featuring Eugenia León, Ballet Folklórico de Los Ángeles, and Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar on December 14.

Yale Repertory Theatre (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) presents Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, directed by Carl Cofield, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), March 15-April 6. Opening Night is Thursday, March 21.

There was music and entertainment magic at The Green Room 42 last night as program director Daniel Dunlow presented the world of The 'Genies' JukeBox' featuring the stars of Disney's Aladdin.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced the world premiere of 'THE GENIES' JUKEBOX' featuring the stars of Disney's Aladdin on Broadway for two shows only, Sunday, March 25 and Monday, March 26 at 9:30 PM. Major Attaway, the current Genie, joins forces with the Genie Standbys, Juwan Crawley and Deonte L. Warren, in an eclectic trio show in which a Bass, a Mezzo, and a Tenor join together on stage and magic happens. These three talents bring together an eclectic set of Disney classics, theater showstoppers and pop hits by Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross. The show is directed by Daniel Dunlow, and features music direction by Eric Fotre Leach.

I can't think of a more versatile drag performer than Willam, nor a bigger brand. Starring in multiple shows and a Lady Gaga film in the same year. A second book on the horizon. And who knows what else is in store?
