CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED CORN Opens October at Just Off Broadway Theatre

Coterie At Night presents Children of the Damned Corn, Oct. 13-30 at the newly renovated Just Off Broadway Theatre, 31st Street and Penn Valley Park (3051 Penn Valley Drive). This world premiere is written and directed by local theatre impresario Ron Megee.

Julia Stiles Signs on for SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK Film

According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Julia Stiles will join previously announced Bradley Cooper in The Weinstein Company's 'Silver Linings Playbook.' The film is based on a novel by Matthew Quick, and will be directed by David O Russell.

A Child's Guide to Heresy is adapted from the novel of the same title, also by Lascelles. In 13th century Yorkshire, England, 9 year-old Tom is sent away from his family to meet the powerful Bishop, Constantus.

Steven Spielberg Wins 2011 David O. Selznick Award

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that producer, director, writer and Principal Partner of DreamWorks Studios Steven Spielberg will receive the 2012 David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Motion Pictures. The award will be presented to Spielberg at the 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards ceremony on Saturday, January 21st at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

An additional reading of Burglars of Hamm's new comedy, 'The Behavior of Broadus' has been announced for Sunday, September 18 at 7 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre as part of DouglasPlus Programming. The staged reading is in addition to the previously announced reading for Saturday, September 17 at 8 p.m.
