Columbia University School of the Arts will present Elena Vannoni's (Columbia MFA Directing Candidate 2023) production of The Sea Does Not Reach Naples. 

Taylor Swift and Eddie Redmayne are looking back on their screen test for the Les Misérables film, which Swift remembers as a 'nightmare.' During the audition process for the acclaimed 2012 film adaptation of the iconic Boublil and Schönberg musical, Swift was in the running for the roles of Cosette and Éponine.

This October, The Cauldron Performing Arts is producing the new musical Monstersongs at CREA Theatre. Monstersongs is a unique piece of theatre synthesizing a graphic novel of immersive, detailed artwork and projections and a rock album - all from the point of view of misunderstood monsters.

The track is written by Drake, GIVĒON and Daniel Pemberton. Pemberton also produced the record with Jahaan Sweet. Directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker David O. As Hackney Empire celebrates 120 years at the heart of the local community, Artistic Director Yamin Choudury and the whole team have announced details of the autumn 2022 season, running from September to December.

The Tony-nominated musical comedy, starring Tony and Emmy Award winner Billy Crystal, opened on Wednesday April 27th at the Nederlander Theater and has played 28 previews and 116 performances.

Jonathan Larson a name synonymous with American Musical Theatre in the 90s penned this phenom of a Musical based on the Puccini Opera La Boheme. Featuring a rock and roll score unlike anything heard on Broadway at its time, Rent received critical and mass acclaim following the untimely passing of its creator, who passed prior to its premiere. With such recognizable songs as, “Take Me or Leave Me,” “Will I,” “Out Tonight,” and probably the biggest musical theatre anthem of its time “Seasons of Love,” Rent went on to achieve Tony and Pulitzer claim and won the world over with its unique score and storyline of unlikely characters who were mirror images of very real people in its time. Still a musical that has many outdated references manages mass appeal today.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (PBT) Artistic Director Susan Jaffe has signed five new dancers to the company roster for PBT's 2022-2023 Season. The season opens Oct. 7-9, with Storytelling in Motion at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center.

Comedy legends Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock have announced a huge Liverpool date for their iconic co-headlining show around the U.K this September, produced by Live Nation. Due to demand, the two American comedians will start off their tour at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on Thursday the 1st of September before their two shows at the O2 Arena.

It's mostly a beauty of a production with some beastly issues that get in the way. I have seen dozens of productions of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST over the years, but rarely if ever have I seen Belle connect with the title Beast. Usually the two come across as distant cousins at best, not a romantic pairing for the ages. Sometimes the rose has more personality than this duo. But finally--FINALLY!--we have a Belle and Beast who connect with the Tarpon Arts' latest production of this classic musical (music by Alan Menken; lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice; and a book by Linda Woolverton, although her name was misspelled on the front cover of the program).

Today, comedy legends Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock have announced an iconic co-headlining show in London at The O2 Arena this September, produced by Live Nation.

The Broadway production of Mr. Saturday Night has cancelled performances for today, May 28th, 2022, as Billy Crystal has tested positive for Covid-19. In an Instagram post announcement, the show's team writes, 'Today’s performances at 2PM and 8PM are canceled. Billy Crystal tested positive for Covid-19 prior to today’s performance of Mr. Saturday Night, despite strict adherence to health and safety protocols. A second test has confirmed this diagnosis.' 

Shoshana Bean revealed in an Instagram story that she will be out of Mr. Saturday Night for the remainder of the week due to Covid.
