The Berkshire Theatre Critics Association has announced the nominees for the 6th Berkshire Theatre Awards, known colloquially as The Berkies. This year’s awards recognize shows that opened in the greater Berkshire region between October 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022.

Acclaimed creators of family entertainment TheaterWorksUSA has partnered with California's La Mirada Theatre to present high-quality theatre for young audiences. This partnership will allow the New York-based TheaterWorksUSA to offer their original musicals as part of La Mirada's Programs for Young Audiences Series.

Oregon Children's Theatre (OCT) will present TheaterWorksUSA's NY Times Critic's Pick, Dog Man: The Musical based on the popular book series by Dav Pilkey. Dog Man: The Musical will be presented at the Newmark Theatre, located at Portland'5 Center for the Arts, October 23 through November 20.

TheaterWorksUSA has announced their upcoming 2022 - 2023 season, including the national touring premieres of PETE THE CAT'S BIG HOLLYWOOD ADVENTURE, EL OTRO OZ, and THE LIGHTNING THIEF: TYA EDITION, along with returning favorites touring across the country.

Where most productions paint the duo as downtrodden and rather depressed, here the two main characters are painted with s sense of comedic timing and light-heartedness that almost seems choregraphed. A performance harkening back to some of the greatest comedic duos. The likes of Lewis and Martin, Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy.

There are a few technical glitches that presented themselves to a keen eye, but virtually something for everyone to like.  Overall, BSC’s production of ALITTLE NIGHT MUSIC represents another triumph for both Barrington Stage and the woman who has steered the company’s successful course for the past 27 years.

Viewers who remember and were affected by THE LARAMIE PROJECT will see parallels in HERE THERE ARE BLUEBERRIES, a beautiful and no-less-significant new play written by Kaufman and Amanda Gronich, co-produced by the Tectonic Theater Project and directed by Kaufman at the La Jolla Playhouse.

 La Jolla Playhouse has announced the cast and creative team for its world-premiere production of Here There Are Blueberries, by Tony Award nominee Moisés Kaufman (Playhouse’s 33 Variations) and Amanda Gronich, conceived and directed by Moisés Kaufman.

Orlando Repertory Theatre will join in partnership with TheaterWorksUSA bringing three productions to Orlando REP stages during 2022-2023.  After a successful presentation of TheaterWorksUSA's The Pout-Pout Fish earlier this year, a full season partnership brings Dog Man: The Musical, Click, Clack, Moo, and The Lightning Thief: Theater for Young Audiences Edition to Orlando family audiences. Due to a positive COVID-19 test result in the company and out of an abundance of caution, tonight’s performance of Coal Country at the Cherry Lane Theatre has been cancelled. Performances are expected to resume tomorrow, Saturday, March 26, at the matinee.
