The Jeff Awards has announced the nominees for the 52nd annual awards for theater excellence that include 142 theater artists across 30 artistic and technical categories. The awards will be presented in an online program on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 7:00PM.

Broken Nose Theatre has announced its hit U.S. premiere of Beth Steel's propulsive financial drama Labyrinth, directed by Spenser Davis will add one additional week of performances, extending through Saturday, March 7, 2020 at BNT's resident home, The Den Theatre (2A), 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Tickets for all performances are currently available at www.brokennosetheatre.com. Tickets for all Broken Nose Theatre productions are available on a 'pay-what-you-can' basis, allowing patrons to set their own price and ensuring theatre remains economically accessible for all audiences.

This year, Rough House Theatre presents The Silence in Harrow House , conceived and directed by Mike Oleon, written by Mark Maxwell and Claire Saxe, September 26 a?" November 10 at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W Division St. Audiences once again descend into Rough House's gorgeous, dark and surreal world for a new story of silence, sacrifice and transformation. Previews are Thursday, Sept. 26 and Friday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7 and 8:45 p.m. Opening night is Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. Performance times are Thursdays and Fridays at 7 and 8:45 p.m., Saturdays at 6, 7:45 and 9:30 p.m., and Sundays at 6 and 7:45 p.m. Recommended for audiences aged 14 and over. The Factory Theater is proud to announce five new members of its artistic ensemble: Brittney Brown, Jose M. Cervantes, Ashley Yates, Michael Jones and Jennifer Betancourt.  Factory's ensemble members write all of the Factory's original plays and have full voting rights in the company, including season selection, leadership election and accepting new ensemble members. They are also forced to do arduous chores like helping with strike and manning the box office.

Co-Artistic Directors Manny Tamayo and Stacie Barra of The Factory Theater launch a new Artistic Associate Program to coincide with the opening of their next mainstage production May the Road Rise Up, February 15 - March 30 at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St., Chicago. The Artistic Associate Program aims to welcome members into The Factory Theater family to promote the creation, development and possible staging of new works and initiatives at Factory. The first two Artistic Associates named are Sarah Espinoza and David Goodman-Edberg. Goodman-Edberg also serves as the lighting designer for May the Road Rise Up.
