In the past few weeks, we've watched the nominations roll in. Today the final crop of nominees have been revealed, all leading to next week's ultimate announcement- the 2019 Tony nominations.

Bob Mackie has won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical for THE CHER SHOW.

The Cher Show, the three-time Tony nominated new hit bio musical currently playing on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre, will celebrate the retail release of their Original Cast Recording with an in-store performance and CD signing at Barnes & Noble (150 East 86th Street) at 4pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

On Wednesday, April 3rd Secretary Hillary Clinton attended the evening performance of The Cher Show. Lin-Manuel Miranda attended the show the following evening on Thursday, April 4th. Both went backstage after the show to meet the cast including stars Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks, Micaela Diamond and Jarrod Spector.

The original cast album to the Broadway hit The Cher Show will be released digitally on Friday, April 12th on Warner Bros. Records with the physical CD album release on Friday, May 10th and pre-order available today. Fans who pre-order the album will receive "If I Could Turn Back Time" instantly. The bio-musical, which opened on December 3rd at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York, is a celebration of the one and only Cher and her amazing six decade career and life story.

Music icon Cyndi Lauper attended a performance of The Cher Show this weekend on Friday, February 15th. She went backstage after the performance to meet cast members including Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks, Micaela Diamond and Jarrod Spector.

Producers Flody Suarez and Jeffrey Seller announced today that a new block of tickets for the Broadway production of the new musical The Cher Show goes on sale today at 10am ET. Tickets for The Cher Show are available at www.TheCherShowBroadway.com or www.Ticketmaster.com (877-250-2929). Ticket prices range from $59 - $169. Premium tickets range from $199 - $299. Tickets are currently on sale through Sunday, October 13, 2019.

1st Stage, Tysons Corner's award-winning professional theatre, announces the extension of their critically-acclaimed production of A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration until December 30.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) continues its 2018-19 season with Paula Vogel's 'A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration.' Elizabeth VanDyke will direct. When the holiday season comes around it often brings with it staples of holiday theater - from Ebenezer Scrooge learning how to care for something other than money, Charlie Brown hearing from his friend Linus the true meaning of Christmas, or the Grinch increasing the size of his heart, theatergoers often are limited to old favorites for the season. That is why it is refreshing that the Connecticut Repertory Theater at UConn chose this year to offer a lesser known, yet equally poignant holiday tale with its current production of Paula Vogel's A CIVIL WAR CHRISTMAS: AN AMERICAN MUSICAL CELEBRATION. The production offers a set of stories that many may not have heard before with familiar (and not so familiar) music by Daryl Waters.

"History lessons and holiday warmth sit cozily alongside each other" (The New York Times) in this pageant of carols by Paula Vogel, the Pulitzer Prize-winning writer of Indecent. Stories of many intertwining lives- spanning from the battlegrounds of Northern Virginia to the halls of the White House- demonstrate that the gladness of one's heart is the best gift of all. This "rich and moving play with music" (Variety) is a treat the whole family will enjoy.
