Today Nottingham Playhouse announces the full cast of Simon Reade's adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's award winning First World War novel Private Peaceful.

Following the triumphant return of live work at Nottingham Playhouse this autumn, today the theatre confirms its Spring and Summer Season for 2022.  The season comprises a long-awaited programme of work that was postponed from 2020 due to the first COVID 19 lockdown.

The Nottingham Playhouse production of Michael Morpurgo's award-winning novel, Private Peaceful, adapted for the stage by Simon Reade and directed by Elle While, today announces it will embark on a major UK tour following its Nottingham premiere.

Sam Yates’ new production of Tennessee Williams’, The Two Character Play will run at Hampstead Theatre from 17 July until 28 August. Yates is making a highly anticipated return to the theatre following his Olivier-nominated production of The Phlebotomist (2019).

Hampstead Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for Tennessee Williams' innovative, and partly autobiographical work, The Two Character Play. Acclaimed stage and screen actors, David Dawson and Lyndsey Marshal, will perform in this unique two-hander which Williams called 'My most beautiful play since Streetcar, the very heart of my life'. The production, directed by award-winning theatre and film artist, Sam Yates, will run from 24 April until 23 May 2020.

Oscar Toeman is the director of The Sugar Syndrome at the Orange Tree Theatre. He is the runner-up of the JMK Award 2019 and previously directed productions at Trafalgar Studios and the Finborough Theatre. Oscar spoke to BroadwayWorld about his career and the production.
