After his hit production of King Charles III, David Muse returns to Shakespeare Theatre Company to direct Shakespeare's Richard the Third, a mesmerizing chronicle of the megalomaniac's rampage to the throne. The production will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from February 5-March 10, 2019.

Dark Circles Presents World Premiere Works by Sidra Bell and Joshua L. Peugh

Dark Circles Contemporary Dance's 2018-19 Season continues with its Spring Series including the commission of a world premiere by the highly sought-after choreographer Sidra Bell, founder of the internationally recognized Sidra Bell Dance New York. A new creation by internationally award-winning choreographer and Dance Magazine "25 to Watch" Joshua L. Peugh featuring Tejas Dance-a Bharatanatyam Indian classical dance duo-closes the evening. Performances will run March 22 - 24, 2019 at WaterTower Theatre.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced the line-up today for the 2019 Free Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 57-year tradition of free theater in Central Park. Since 1962, over five million people have enjoyed more than 150 free productions of Shakespeare and other classical works and musicals at the Delacorte Theater. Conceived by founder Joseph Papp as a way to make great theater accessible to all, The Public's Free Shakespeare in the Park continues to be the bedrock of the Company's mission to increase access and engage the community.

The Canterbury Company Of Resident Artists Announced

Joey Folsom, Artistic Director of The Classics Theatre Project, today announced the formation of a permanent Resident Artists Company for the theatre to be underwritten by Liese and Mike Canterbury. The company members will be, in addition to Mr. Folsom, R. Andrew Aguilar, Sasha Maya Ada, Chad Cline, Stan Graner, Gretchen Hahn, N. Ryan McBride, Leslie Patrick, Van Quattro, Rachel Reininger and Dean Wray. The Resident Artists will fill many of the roles in the TCTP 3-play 2019 season: "Fool for Love," Summer and Smoke," and "The Crucible." In addition, the RAC members will work as members of the TCPT team in other areas of production, marketing, and development. The Company will be called the Canterbury Company of Resident Artists.

Corey was kind enough to take my call at the 'early actor's hour' (his words) of 11:30am to talk about coming back to Texas, the success of this show, and special skills actors should consider listing on their resumes...

AT&T Performing Arts Center Adds Shows For ALI WONG: THE MILK & MONEY TOUR

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and Live Nation announced today that due to popular demand, a second show for Ali Wong: The Milk & Money Tour has been added and both shows will go on sale Friday, December 21 at 10 a.m. Comedian, writer and actress Ali Wong will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 and 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.
