Los Angeles' famed Groundlings Theatre has announced the addition of three new members to The Main Company, also known as a?oeThe Groundlings.a?? Chris Guerra, Leonard Robinson and Samantha DeSurra were invited to join The Groundlings after having completed The Groundlings' School training program and performed in the Sunday Company for 18 months.

Working Theater will transfer new play, BORDER PEOPLE, currently playing at The Marsh San Francisco to Off Broadway A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 W 53rd Street) as part of the company's 35th anniversary season, where it is scheduled to begin previews January 25, prior to its official opening on January 30.

Gloucester Stage Company wraps up its 40th Anniversary Season of professional theater with William Shakespeare's  Hamlet from October 25 through November 17 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA.. The Shout Syndicate, an innovative collaboration of Boston music and arts industry professionals in partnership with The Boston Foundation and the Mayor's Office of Arts & Culture, today announced it has awarded $200,000 in its pilot round of grantmaking to ten Greater Boston non-profit arts organizations that focus on creative youth development.

Peter Levine's humorous and poignant new play, APPLE, TABLE, PENNY, will headline Emerging Artist Theatre's Fall New Work Series. The limited run will play October 3 - 13 at TADA Theater and is directed by Jennifer Tuttle.

'Ludwig and Bertiea?? by Douglas Lackey examines the relationship of two leading twentieth century philosophers, Ludwig Wittgenstein and Bertrand Russell.  Theater for the New City (TNC) will present the play's world premiere run September 26 to October 13, directed by Alexander Harrington.

Geffen Playhouse today announced its selection of six local writers to participate in the second cycle of The Writers' Room, a forum for engagement and collaboration between Los Angeles playwrights. The participants for 2019/2020 are Boni B. Alvarez, Chloé Hung, Inda Craig-Galván, Juan José Alfonso, Ramiz Monsef and Ruby Rae Spiegel.

The Drama League has announced an inaugural event: First Stage Festival, where new works take their first steps, featuring 10 resident directors who will have 10 hours to focus and manifest a particular moment or element of 10 new works, giving a glimpse into the future of the American Theater.

Direct from a critically acclaimed run in Australia, England, and the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, this Los Angeles premiere is a musical melange of pop, blues and rock with a live band.

Rehearsals have begun for the Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 world premiere of IN THE GREEN, a new musical by Grace McLean, directed by Lee Sunday Evans.  McLean will also be featured in the production, along with Rachael Duddy, Ashley Perez Flanagan, Mia Pak, and Hannah Whitney. IN THE GREEN will begin performances Saturday, June 8 and run for eight weeks only through Sunday, August 4 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).  Opening night is Thursday, June 27. 

An industry presentation of RE-WIRE will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 3pm & 7pm in New York City. RE-WIRE is a new play written by Thomas and Judy Heath, under the direction of Karen Carpenter (Love, Loss & What I wore), and starring Geneva Carr (Hand to God, Bull) & Stephen Wallem (Nurse Jackie).
