Riverside Theatre begins its 51st season celebrating an electrifying night of early rock ‘n roll with Million Dollar Quartet.

Redhouse Arts Center begins its 2022-2023 season with one of America’s most ambitious plays Angels in America by Tony Kushner. Artistic Director Temar Underwood will direct the cast in the playful and profound Pulitzer Prize recipient and Tony Award winner for Best Play. Performances will run October 14 - 23, 2022. 

PRIMARY STAGES announced today the launch of Primary Plus, a series of online programs aimed at helping artists connect with Primary Stages and with each other.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) continues its 2019-20 season with Tom Stoppard's Shakespeare in Love, adapted for the stage by Lee Hall and Marc Norman.  Vincent Tycer will direct. Performances will be held in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre from November 21st through November 23rd, and December 4th through December 8th, 2019. 'GYPSY: A Musical Fable' closes out the Castle Craig Players 26th Anniversary Season, running through August 10 at their intimate cabaret venue in Meriden.

On Saturday, July 27, I had the pleasure of seeing the Castle Craig Players production of the musical GYPSY at the Almira F. Stephan Memorial Playhouse in Meriden, CT.  This tale, based on a true story, has book written by Arthur Laurents, with music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.  Ian Galligan provides spectacular direction to this phenomenal cast, with the help of Chris Coffey as musical director and conductor of the talented live six piece band, and Erin Coffey as choreographer.

With its current homegrown production of ONCE, SpeakEasy Stage Company demonstrates once again its penchant for capturing the essence of an award-winning musical and successfully molding it to fit the expectations of their audience and the parameters of the Roberts Studio Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts. It was announced today that the run is extended for an additional week due to overwhelming demand.

The Wonderettes are back in town, just in time for the holidays! The Castle Craig Players will present 'THE WINTER WONDERETTES' - the ALL-NEW holiday sequel to last year's sold-out hit ­- November 30-December 15, at their intimate cabaret venue.

Playhouse Theatre Academy is a theatre school created by Playhouse on Park offering recreational classes and pre-professional training for both children & adults. All programs, classes and workshops are held at The 224 EcoSpace, which is conveniently located for anyone in Greater Hartford area or beyond. As a supplement to the Young Actors Training Program, The Playhouse Theatre Academy is offering five-week intensive workshops.
