ASCAP Award-winning writer/producer Chip Deffaa's new CD, 'Irving Berlin: Sweet and Hot'--being released January 4th--features such  Broadway and cabaret  notables as Steve Ross ('Private Lives'),   Jerry Dixon ('Once On this Island'),  Seth Sikes ('The Band's Visit'), Analise Scarpaci ('Mrs. Doubtfire'),  Alex Dreier ('Finding Neverland'), Charlie Franklin ('The Book of Mormon'),  Giuseppe Bausilio ('Hamilton'), Matthew Nardozzi ('Dracula'), Jon Peterson ('Cabaret'), and others. 

This week's Theater Stories features The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre! Learn about the iconic stage couple for whom the theater is named after, the multiple jukebox musicals that have made its home on the Lunt-Fontanne stage and more.

Today we rewind to 2017, for the Encores! presentation of Big River. Directed by Lear deBessonet and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, Big River starred Nicholas Barasch, Charlie Franklin, Annie Golden, David Pittu, Kyle Scatliffe, Christopher Sieber, Lauren Worsham, and more. 

Two dozen stars from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and the cabaret world are featured on the new album, 'I Must Have that Man,' being released today. A celebration of gay love, it features performers- both gay and straight alike- selected by ASCAP Award-winning writer/producer Chip Deffaa.

Rachel Potter and Marty Thomas have teamed up to present a weekly virtual cabaret series called Quarantine Cabaret. The two best friends have joined forces to appear in concert online, and each weekly show features a new lineup of guests.

Nederlander and Tali Pelman, in association with Tina Turner, have announced that Anna Wintour, Editor in Chief, Vogue U.S.; U.S. Artistic Director and Global Content Advisor, Condé Nast will co-host a cocktail reception alongside Fashion Model & Activist Adut Akech, Fashion Model Cindy Bruna, Writer/Director & Activist Janet Mock ('Pose'), Super Model & Activist Joan Smalls, Fashion Model Paloma Elsesser, and Actor & Activist Yara Shahidi ('Grown-ish') followed by a special performance of Broadway's TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL to benefit RAINN, the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization, on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street).

On Friday, January 10th at 1 pm,  Tony Award-winning Hadestown held an added special performance for The Actors Fund. It was the first special performance of 2020 for The Actors Fund.  Tony Award winner André De Shields rocked the house after the performance with a 'curtain sermon' about The Actors Fund that will be long remembered.

On last night's episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the cast of the hit Broadway musical 'TINA: The Tina Turner Musical,' performed 'River Deep/Mountain High,' led by the incredible Adrienne Warren.

Broadway's TINA - THE Tina Turner MUSICAL will open in Madrid, Spain in 2020! A casting notice for the production notes they are currently seeking singers, actors, and dancers for the entire principal cast for the production!

Broadway's TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL shattered the all-time box office record at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) for the week ending December 1, 2019. TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL's gross for the week was $1,834,339.00, the highest for any eight-show week at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Prior to TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL, MOTOWN held the house record ($1,708,597.00) set in 2013.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Mars Rucker sustained an injury during a performance of Tina on Thursday night. Rucker plays Alline and Ikette in the show.
