Musical theatre and pop songwriter Joey Contreras is returning to Rockwood Music Hall's Stage 2 on Monday, June 11 for a 9pm concert. Joining him will be an exciting lineup including Nic Rouleau (The Book of Mormon), DeLaney Westfall (Kinky Boots), Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture), JJ Niemann (The Book of Mormon), Olivia Puckett (Dear Evan Hansen), Brad Greer (Jerry Springer the Opera), Mia Gerachis, Rob Morean, Stevi Incremona, Morgan Reilly and Spencer Kiely with Brian Russell Carey (Red Roses, Green Gold) and Jacob Yates.
You may not know this, but our friendly neighborhood Broadway buddy, Ben Cameron, grew up in the Mormon church, just miles away from Brigham Young University. This makes him no stranger to the legendary Music/Dance/Theatre program that has been responsible for a number of our favorite stars including, but not limited to Oyoyo Joy Bonner (Book of Mormon), Delaney Westfall (Sweeney Todd), Megan Masako Haley (Wicked), Michael Milkanin (Kinky Boots), and Brian Russell Carey (Red Roses Green Gold). Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the performance lineup for the sixth annual #giveback concert slated for Sunday, May 13 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street) has been updated. Along with producers Kelly Weaver and Mike Borges, Broadway Unlocked is bringing Broadway favorites together to perform and raise funds for the Crime Victims Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization committed to helping people heal from violent crime.
