Nashville Shakespeare Festival invites lovers of theater and The Bard to herald the arrival of 2018 and to celebrate the company's 30th Anniversary Season with a sneak peek of the upcoming production of Hamlet during their fifth annual Winter Shakespeare Open House at Belmont University's Troutt Theatre on Sunday, December 31, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Broadway star Analisa Leaming returns to her hometown of Murfreesboro next Monday night for a concert at First United Methodist Church to benefit the Ethos Youth Ensembles, a non-profit youth music education organization based in Rutherford County.

Royal Family Production (RFP) will present a benefit workshop presentation of the new musical Brass Heart by RFP associate artistic director Jessica Wu. The musical will be directed by Chris Henry with choreography by Lorna Ventura and will take place on Sunday, April 2nd with a special pre-show cocktail reception ($250, reception begins at 5pm) and Monday, April 3rdat 12:30pm. Studio Tenn and Tennessee Performing Arts Center's joint venture to produce Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita in Nashville resulted in the production claiming the top prize as "Outstanding Musical of The Year" at Sunday's Midwinter's First Night event at The Larry Keeton Theatre. Nashville Repertory Theatre's production of Nate Eppler's original play Good Monsters took the title of "Outstanding Play of The Year" in the annual ceremony that dates back to its origins in 1989.

The new musical Back Home Again, featuring songs by John Denver with book by Stewart F. Lane will have a limited run at The Lesher Center For The Arts from January 11-21.
