The Directors Company (Michael Parva, Artistic Director; Leah Michalos, Producing Director) and Dan Stone (Dear Evan Hansen) of Instone Productions, are pleased to announce the industry reading of Beau, a new play inside a concert, being presented April 13th at The Directors Company.

With swings Kelly McIntyre (A Night with Janis Joplin) and Brian Russell Carey (Red Roses, Green Gold).

"6 actor-musicians tell the story of 12 year old Ace Baker; who gets a phone call that his "deceased" Grandpa Beau has been alive all his life, and his Mama knew. Family skeletons are revealed as he rushes to make up for the lost time with a man who unexpectedly changes his life forever."

Concept, book and lyrics are by Douglas Lyons (Beautiful), with an original pop-country score by Ethan D. Pakchar (Five Points) and Lyons. Madeline Smith (Waitress) music directs.
