The bulk of production and engineering on Beneath the Brightest Smiles was handled by Gordon Raphael with mixing by Dave Rowland (Post Malone, The-Dream, Pusha T, Ellie Goulding) at Mercy Sound Recording Studios (Blondie, Cher, Snoop Dogg, TV On The Radio, Yoko Ono, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato) in NYC’s East Village.

 Legendary singer-songwriter Al Stewart, along with his band The Empty Pockets comes to City Winery Boston for one show only Thursday, March 30 at 8pm.

Theatre Tulsa will launch its second Broadway Series musical of its 100th season with the beloved musical “Little Shop of Horrors.”

 The Washington Ballet’s annual contemporary choreography series, NEXTsteps, returns to open the 2022–2023 subscription season with six performances, October 12–16 at Sidney Harman Hall. The program features new works from emerging and acclaimed choreographers Silas Farley, Dana Genshaft and TWB’s own Andile Ndlovu.

The Washington Ballet concludes its 2021/22 “Season of Gratitude” with NEXTsteps, its annual series dedicated to new works by contemporary choreographers. The program runs in six performances, June 22-26 at Sidney Harman Hall, and features new works by  Brett Ishida (company debut), Jessica Lang, and Mthuthuzeli November (U.S. debut).

Christina Baril, exhibitions coordinator for Art Center Sarasota, announced the winners for its regional, juried exhibit, “Faces and Places,” which runs through August 6. Baril says the center received submissions from 173 artists from the Southeast region. Baril says the work had to inspired by or reflect their surrounding community, including faces, places, landscapes, and societal experiences. 

The question about which band is better – Beatles or Rolling Stones – has been a spirited debate for half of a century. These two legendary bands will engage in an on-stage, throw down - a musical “shoot out' if you will - on March 30 at 7:30 p.m. at A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
