The first teaser for the upcoming documentary Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution has just dropped.The documentary considers the importance of LGBTQ+ stand up as an instrument for social change over the past five decades, actively reflecting and challenging cultural norms and values. Ultimately, the film reveals that queer comedians — whether they intended to or not — helped change the world, one joke at a time. Watch the teaser here!

On Tuesday, January 10th (mostly)musicals kicked off their 9th season with their annual Happy New Year show, featuring Gregory Nabours and a stellar lineup of talent from Broadway and LA. It was the first show in front of a LIVE audience on the Vitello's stage after 16 dark months, so of course it sold out in advance. Producer amy francis schott says, “We could not be more thrilled and honored to have been invited to be the first show back at our favorite venue after so many months!”

Today, YouTube Originals and beauty mogul James Charles announced a new untitled beauty competition series to find the next budding industry influencer. With over 16 million subscribers to his channel, James Charles is best known for his creative makeup transformations which led to him being selected as the first male spokesperson for CoverGirl. Inspired by his artistry in the space, this series marks the first YouTube Originals beauty competition and will premiere on YouTube next year. 

YouTube announced a fourth season of the popular murder mystery competition series ESCAPE THE NIGHT starring Creator and Multi New York Times Bestselling Author Joey Graceffa, making it the longest running YouTube Original series. The 10-episode, half-hour series will debut on YouTube Premium on July 11 with the first episode free to fans around the world. The first episode will simultaneously premiere at VidCon 2019 during the ESCAPE THE NIGHT season 4 panel featuring Joey Graceffa and a star-studded cast of YouTube creators.
