Earlier this month, Brandon Victor Dixon stepped into the role of Billy Flynn at Broadway's Chicago. Now he is telling us all about his new role in this video.

Ryoko Yonekura has withdrawn from her previously announced engagement in CHICAGO, which she was scheduled to perform on Broadway from November 7th thru November 20th, under doctor's orders due to a lower back injury.

Jessica Vosk and Peppermint will join Patti LuPone, Lea DeLaria, Bonnie Milligan, Javier Muñoz, Ann Harada, Peppermint, Jessica Vosk and special surprise guests for the ‘A is For’ annual benefit this Sunday, October 2 at 54 Below.

A is For is commemorating their 10-year anniversary by returning for their annual benefit live and in person back at 54 Below. The event will take place at 54 Below on Sunday Oct 2nd; 6:30 pm, and feature Ann Harada, Patti LuPone, Lea DeLaria, Bonnie Milligan, Javier Muñoz and more to be announced.

Last night, September 12, Angelica Ross ('Pose,' 'American Horror Story') made her Broadway debut in the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago.  Also joining the company on Monday were Brandon Victor Dixon in the role of 'Billy Flynn' and Amra-Faye Wright who returned to the role of 'Velma Kelly'. Chicago will welcome back Amra-Faye Wright in the role of “Velma Kelly” and welcomes Brandon Victor Dixon in the role of “Billy Flynn” joining previously announced Angelica Ross as “Roxie Hart” starting Monday, September 12 at the Ambassador Theatre.

 Broadway Black presents The 2nd Annual Antonyo Awards, which honors Black theatre artists during the 2021-2022 season. The live, in-person ceremony will be held on Monday, October 10 at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem (253 West 125th Street). Awards in 29 competitive categories and five honorary categories will be presented along with performances and guest appearances. 

Watch performances from the finalists! The public has voted and the finalists are in for the MacGyver Musical cast recording contest. One lucky winner, selected by the MacGyver production team will be flown to NYC, housed in a hotel, and be professionally recorded, as well as take home $1000!

Broadway Out East will return this summer season at Calissa. The Mediterranean hotspot will host a series of performances by some of Broadway’s most talented stars including Andrew Barth Feldman, Teal Wicks, Kathryn Allison, and Brandon Victor Dixon.

Tamika Lawrence has had a year for the record books. In addition to starring alongside Sharon D Clarke in the three-time Tony nominated revival of Caroline, Or Change, she earned her very own Drama Desk nomination for her incredible performance in Black No More. The musical, which enjoyed an acclaimed, limited run in the height of the spread of Omicron, was inspired by George S. Schuyler's Afrofuturist novel set during the Harlem Renaissance, retelling one Black man's journey colliding with truths of race and identity.
