 Broadway Black presents The 2nd Annual Antonyo Awards, which honors Black theatre artists during the 2021-2022 season. The live, in-person ceremony will be held on Monday, October 10 at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem (253 West 125th Street). Awards in 29 competitive categories and five honorary categories will be presented along with performances and guest appearances. 

Watch performances from the finalists! The public has voted and the finalists are in for the MacGyver Musical cast recording contest. One lucky winner, selected by the MacGyver production team will be flown to NYC, housed in a hotel, and be professionally recorded, as well as take home $1000!

Broadway Out East will return this summer season at Calissa. The Mediterranean hotspot will host a series of performances by some of Broadway’s most talented stars including Andrew Barth Feldman, Teal Wicks, Kathryn Allison, and Brandon Victor Dixon.

Bookings are now available for all types of private in-person events - including weddings, corporate events, bar/bat/b'nai mitzvahs, holiday parties, sweet 16s, dinner parties, gala events and more! 

The star-studded New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's beloved musical, Into the Woods, officially opened on Broadway at the St. James Theatre. Tamika Lawrence has had a year for the record books. In addition to starring alongside Sharon D Clarke in the three-time Tony nominated revival of Caroline, Or Change, she earned her very own Drama Desk nomination for her incredible performance in Black No More. The musical, which enjoyed an acclaimed, limited run in the height of the spread of Omicron, was inspired by George S. Schuyler's Afrofuturist novel set during the Harlem Renaissance, retelling one Black man's journey colliding with truths of race and identity.

The Jimmy Awards have just announced this year’s 92 nominees, coming from 46 high school musical theatre awards competitions across the U.S. The show will feature dynamic ensemble and solo performances and will culminate with the presentation of a Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor award, as well as other honors and scholarships. Winners will be chosen by a panel of industry experts.
