Leading the slate on June 1st is Tony Award winner John Cameron Mitchell's vibrant rock odyssey film Hedwig and The Angry Inch and On the Town, starring Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Jules Munshin as three fun-loving sailors who have 24 hours of shore leave in New York City and want to make every second count.

Closer Than Ever will star X Factor winner Dalton Harris, alongside musical theatre icons Lee Mead (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat; Wicked), Kerry Ellis (Wicked; We Will Rock You) and Grace Mouat (Six; & Juliet). The film will be available to stream worldwide this September.

BroadwayHD today announced their diverse lineup of new content, from musical classics to visually innovative new favorites.  On May 1st, the Academy Award Best Picture winner An American in Paris starring Gene Kelly dances its way onto the platform, while theater spectacle Over There starring Harry and Luke Treadaway, joins the library on May 6th.

Sloan’s Ghostlight Productions announced that they are partnering with BroadwayHD to bring the inaugural Obsidian Festival to viewers for free via the streaming service’s YouTube channel.  The Obsidian Theatre Festival is a virtual theatre and performing arts event featuring emerging Black artists, actors, directors, and playwrights from Detroit.

BroadwayHD will exclusively debut one of the hottest and most critically acclaimed Canadian stage productions ever, 2 Pianos 4 Hands, on the platform on April 13th, just in time to celebrate the award-winning show's 25th anniversary.  

Spring is in the air this month as BroadwayHD, adds a lineup of new musicals, plays and documentaries. Kicking off the month on April 1st is Irving Berlin’s Easter Parade, a classic movie musical starring Judy Garland, Fred Astaire and Ann Miller, about a Broadway star who decides to go solo. 

BroadwayHD announced today that George Takei’s Allegiance, which also features Broadway stars Telly Leung (Godspell, Glee) and Tony Award-winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Mulan) will be available  on the platform exclusively around the globe except in Asia beginning on March 18th. 

BroadwayHD has announce its upcoming lineup for March!  On March 1, madness ensues when fan favorite The Goes Wrong Show season 1, based on the BBC The Play That Goes Wrong specials and the popular Broadway and West End production that started it all expands into Canada and Australia. 

Women's History Month honors the accomplishments of women and great strides are being made but there are still less than 25% female CEOs and even fewer female founders in the media and tech industry.

The Actors Fund and affordable housing developer Thomas Safran & Associates, broke ground on The Hollywood Arts Collective, a $120 million project that will include 151 units of affordable housing for artists, the Glorya Kaufman Theater, rehearsal studios, non-profit arts office space and a new home for The Actors Fund Western Region Headquarters.

First Date: The Musical, starring Samantha Barks as Casey and  Simon Lipkin as Aaron will arrive exclusively on BroadwayHD on February 12th.  The production, directed by Dean Johnson and produced by Lambert Jackson productions, was live streamed for a limited time in October 2020 from the world renowned Crazy Coqs, a music venue in London.  This is the first time the production will be available to fans since the limited engagement this past fall.

Love is in the air this month as BroadwayHD adds a line-up of new show-stopping theater performances, concert films and documentaries. Starting on February 1st, BroadwayHD viewers can stream this delightful 1958 musical film Gigi, winner of 9 Academy Awards.

Slava’s Snowshow is about to become available on streaming for the first time ever. BroadwayHD has secured worldwide exclusive streaming rights and will be bringing the show to viewers in the U.S. and globally on February 8. 

Nine titles from Stratford-upon-Avon's famed Royal Shakespeare Company will arrive on BroadwayHD this month, with 20 more set to appear over the next two months. 

“HAM: A Musical Memoir,” filmed live on stage, is coming to BroadwayHD, where it will begin streaming exclusively January 7th, 2021. Based on Tony Award nominee and multi-platinum recording artist Sam Harris’s critically acclaimed book, “Ham: Slices of a Life”, the original stage production was developed and directed by Billy Porter.

BroadwayHD is gifting viewers an extra helping of new holiday-themed titles leading into the Yuletide season.  Fans of the “Goes Wrong Show” British comedy series developed by Mischief Theatre will be excited to see A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong arrive on the service today, December 14th.

Steppenwolf’s production of The Minutes by Tracy Letts, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, will be loading its set out of the Cort Theatre this Monday, November 16th to make way for the previously planned renovation of the Cort and the construction at the adjacent property.
