Netflix Is A Joke, Netflix's comedy brand, is throwing a week-long comedy festival, Netflix Is A Joke Fest. Produced by Netflix in association with Live Nation, the star-studded celebration of comedy will take over Los Angeles April 27th - May 3rd and feature live stand-up shows, special events and activations with Netflix comedians and artists from around the world. NBC has crowned comedians Franqi French and Rene Vaca as the winners of its 16th annual StandUp NBC competition, the network's annual nationwide search for comedians of diverse backgrounds. This marks the first time in the celebrated program's 16-year history that two winners have been chosen in a single year.

Comedy Central announced today a collaboration with All Things Comedy to produce a documentary about Patrice O'Neal. Set to begin filming this fall, the untitled documentary is a deep-dive portrait of O'Neal who passed away at 41 in 2011. The film, directed by Bonfiglio (Gary Gulman: The Great Depresh) will recount O'Neal's life story and explore the hilarious and controversial material he left behind. Utilizing a vast archive including never-before-seen personal materials and featuring O'Neal's family and friends, the film will include a who's who of comedy — the comics who knew, were influenced and were affected by O'Neal —  placing his work into the context of the time as well as today.

Bill Burr Presents Jessica Kirson: Talking to Myself is the third of three All Things Comedy produced specials previously announced by Comedy Central and premieres Friday, December 6 at midnight ET/PT on Comedy Central. The special will be available the following day in the Comedy Central App, cc.com and On-Demand on December 7.
