Jutst yesterday, the best of Broadway came together in Shubert Alley for the 27th annual Broadway Barks. Hosted by co-founder Bernadette Peters and Beth Leavel, the special event featured a ‘meet and greet' of all the adoptable pets, who made their Broadway debut on stage alongside some of Broadway's favorite stars. BROADWAY BARKS has announced additional celebrities for their 27th annual dog and cat adoption. As previously announced, the event will be hosted by co-founder Bernadette Peters and Beth Leavel and is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

A History of Pop Music Bio-Musicals

Just In Time’s origin story as well as overall conceit has much in common with one of Broadway’s very first jukebox musicals, which was ahead of its time. In 1985, Leader of the Pack, telling the story of pop singer-songwriter Ellie Greenwich, opened at the Ambassador on Broadway. Learn all about pop music bio-musicals here!

5 Broadway Shows Close This Weekend

Broadway says goodbye to five productions. Glengarry Glen Ross takes its final bow at the Palace Theatre following 23 previews and 104 regular performances; The Picture of Dorian Gray plays its final performance at the Music Box Theatre after 15 previews and 98 regular performances; and more.
