The actor told Deadline at the Cannes Film Festival today that he missed his chance to appear in the upcoming stage adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining. Ben Stiller is set to star, while the show will be directed by Ivo van Hove. Sonia Friedman (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and Colin Callender will produce. 

At the NBCUniversal Upfront today, Peacock announced that Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie, The Sopranos) will star in the new Pete Davidson comedy series BUPKIS as Davidson's mom, which is written, starring and executive produced by Davidson. Falco and Davidson appeared on stage together to share the news.

The series is written by George Kay (“Lupin,” “Criminal”) and will be directed by Jim Field Smith (“Criminal,” “The Wrong Mans”), who will both also serve as executive producers alongside Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta and Kris Thykier. “Hijack” will be produced by 60Forty Films and Idiotlamp Productions in association with Green Door.
