Jim Caruso's Cast Party will present EXTRAVAGAINZA: THE SONGS OF HENRY GAINZA, Monday August 11th at 7:00 p.m., as part of the long-running, Nightlife Award-winning concert series Broadway at Birdland.

Friday, August 8th, we're pleased to welcome No, No, Nanette's NANCY ANDERSON and The Marvelous Wonderettes' FARAH ALVIN. Special guest appearances will also be made by BEN RIMALOWER, Diva-Lution's MOLLY POPE, VGL Boys' COLE ESCOLA and JEFFREY SELF, the cast of Perez Hilton Saves the Universe, and The Dreams. All will be on hand to perform a few numbers as only they can.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (Isaac Robert Hurwitz, Executive Director and Producer) announces a 14 new musicals to be presented as part of the 5th annual Festival from September 15 through October 5, 2008 in New York City. The New York Musical Theatre Festival is the enormously popular three-week celebration that features the works of the newest generation of musical theatre writers. The 14 musicals listed below are joining the ten new musicals previously announced, which were chosen from NYMF's open-submission writer service program, The Next Link Project.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC), this year celebrating its 25th Anniversary, presents some of its top up-and-coming talent in NEW FACE SHOWCASE, an evening of comedy and song - the second showcase of its kind produced by MAC, on Friday, March 28th at 6:30pm at Don't Tell Mama.

The MITF is still accepting submissions for its Ninth Annual presentation of plays and musicals, spanning all types and genres - they want to hear from you! To that end the Festival, which will run from July 13-August 10, and take place in seven different theatres in five separate venues, has extended its submission deadline to March 15, 2008.

Howling Moon Cab Company presents a world-premiere play, shapeshifter, written by Jonathan Wallace and directed by Glory Sims Bowen, at the Barrow Group Studio Theatre. Performances begin March 9 through March 29.

The Barrow Group Theatre Company (312 West 36th St.) will present the Off-Broadway Premiere of John Ahlin's Gray Area with previews beginning on Wednesday, February 13, 2008. The official opening will be on Monday, February 18, 2007. Seth Barrish directs.

The February 20, 2008 deadline for submitting scripts and materials for consideration for the Ninth Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival, running from July 14 - August 10, is drawing near. So, theatre producers wanting to be part of MITF9, which takes place in seven different theatres at five separate venues, need to submit their work as soon as possible.
