Marin Theatre Company will produce the world premiere of its 2009 Sky Cooper New American Play Prize winner, Sunlight by Sharr White, January 21 through February 14, 2010. In addition to the Sky Cooper Prize, Sunlight has garnered substantial national recognition. Following MTC's premiere, this searing political thriller will be produced at three other theaters as part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere-Arts West in Seattle, Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis, and New Jersey Rep.

The party starts on January 29 at The Cleveland Play House with Ain't Misbehavin', a Tony Award-winning celebration of the music of Thomas 'Fats' Waller.

Arizona Theatre Company announces the selection of Armor by Tucson writer Toni Press-Coffman as the winner of the 2010 Arizona Playwriting Award. Press-Coffman will receive a cash award and ATC will hold a private reading of her play.

American Theater Company (ATC) continues its 25th anniversary season with the Chicago premiere of Distracted, written by Lisa Loomer. The production is directed by Artistic Director PJ Paparelli and will run January 28 - February 28, 2010 at American Theater Company, 1909 W. Byron Street, Chicago. Eighty-Eight Entertainment, Samantha F. Voxakis and Lee Kaufman present Hershey Felder's COMPOSER SONATA at Drury Lane Water Tower Place from November 13th through December 31st in a strictly limited engagement culminating in a special New Year's Eve Presentation of Hershey Felder's The Great American Song Book Sing-A-Long. These tour-de-force presentations, Beethoven, As I Knew Him; Monsieur Chopin and George Gershwin Alone; as well as The Great American Song Book Sing-A-Long, are written and performed by Hershey Felder and directed by Joel Zwick.
