Broadway World Cabaret photojournalist Thomas Salus has his second assignment - a group show of Howard Ashman songs.

There were no poor unfortunate souls at 54 Below last night - only fans of Howard Ashman and supporters of the Rainbow Sun Productions company.

Next week, FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Fresh off the heels of their highly successful 10th anniversary season of Broadway Under The Stars, Transcendence Theatre Company will present a new and reimagined holiday show for the whole family with holiday favorites, show stopping dance numbers, Broadway show tunes and modern twists on some of the world's most uplifting and cherished songs.

The Encore Musical Theatre Company is bringing back a popular tradition - their Tribute Concert Series. The first in the season lineup is the QUEEN Tribute Concert, which runs October 13th through the 17th. BroadwayWorld Detroit had a chance to quickly speak with Arielle Crosby about the fantastic concert!

Feinstein’s/54 Below, Broadway’s Supper Club, will present The Songs of Howard Ashman, a special concert celebrating lyricist Howard Ashman. A portion of ticket sales will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Transcendence Theatre Company celebrates the 10th anniversary season of Broadway Under The Stars and the return to Jack London State Historic Park with an all-new concert, ROAD TRIP!, now through August 29th.  First production shots have just been released.

ROAD TRIP! will showcase a diverse style of music – from patriotic to pop, jazz to musical theater, funk to Disney, and much more. The show will cover many cities and states, starting and ending in California. Featuring popular hits songs such as Born in the U.S.A., California Dreamin', Viva Las Vegas, Route 66, Georgia, Empire State of Mind, and more.

Casting has been announced for Transcendence Theatre Company's MY HERO, June 4th - 20th.

Theatre NOVA, in collaboration with The Ringwald Theatre, will release their filmed version of 'A New Brain' by William Finn and James Lapine via Broadway on Demand during June of 2021. By the Tony Award-winning authors of 'Falsettos,' 'A New Brain' is a life-affirming, heartfelt, often comical musical about a composer during a medical emergency.

This week, the upcoming virtual musical The Aviatrix launched the social media campaign, '30 Days | 30 Women With Wings,' intended to highlight and support the growing woman-identifying aviator community.

This week, filming has ended for the new virtual theatre/film hybrid The Aviatrix: A New Musical, with book and lyrics by Lily Dwoskin, music by Casey O’Neil, and direction by Ellie Handel.

Creative Endeavor Office announced today that the immersive concert experiences Reunion '69 and Reunion '85 begin performances on Thursday, July 26 at 7.30pm at the Elizabeth Eriksen Byron Theatre at the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts (2344 East Iliff Avenue).
