A new play by Michael Fasano, Something in Between, will receive an invite-only industry reading in New York City. Directed by Elliott Mattox, the reading features a cast of stage and screen performers.

SLAP&TICKLE, a new play by David James Parr, directed by Chad Austin will have an industry reading at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The production is slated to open Off-Broadway in Spring 2026, featuring an ensemble cast of seven actors.

Cats might be pouncing back to Broadway! Cats: The Jellicle Ball, a radical reimagining of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical, has just launched a website and social media platforms that tease an imminent Broadway announcement.

The Jellicle Ball will party on! BroadwayWorld has just learned that the show has been extended for the third time, through September 8, 2024. It was previously scheduled to conclude its limited run at the Perelman Performing Arts Center on August 22.

Performances of CATS: The Jellicle Ball will resume this evening following several cancellations, including today's matinee, due to cast illness. 

Tony Award winner André De Shields stopped by CBS New York on Tuesday to discuss the current reimagining of Cats: The Jellicle Ball Off-Broadway. Shields says the new production is a 'magical collaboration between those of us who consider ourselves legitimate performers and the Ballroom community.' Watch the interview!

BroadwayWorld has learned that CATS: The Jellicle Ball, now in performances at PAC NYC, recently canceled a performance due to illness in the cast. The matinee performance set for Sunday, July 14 did not go on, which was announced last-minute, as attendees were arriving to the theatre.

Andrew Lloyd Webber made a visit to CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL at PAC NYC, and met with the company after the show. We spoke to the production's music supervisor, William Waldrop, about Webber's visit. See the photos and learn more about Webber's time at the Junkyard.
