The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) announced today a star-studded lineup of performers for the annual benefit concert, "Broadway Stands Up for Freedom," which will take place on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. This iconic concert was created 15 years ago by aspiring musical theater actors to highlight social injustices and civil rights issues through song and spoken word.

The pre-Broadway engagement of ROMAN HOLIDAY - The Cole Porter Musical, is premiering as part of SHN's 2017 Season this summer. Newcomer Stephanie Styles and Broadway favorite Drew Gehling (Waitress) will take on the iconic roles portrayed by Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in the classic film, and Tony Award nominee Jarrod Spector (Beautiful) and TV and stage star Sara Chase ('Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt') will round out the principal casting.

The story of a group of young Americans searching for love and peace during the Vietnam era, HAIR is a timeless portrait of a movement that changed the world. Its groundbreaking rock score paved the way for some of the greatest musicals of our time. Now, the 'Age of Aquarius' dawns again in this jubilant new production directed by Diane Paulus, with choreography by Karole Armitage. HAIR features a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado, and music by Galt MacDermot.

The Shaker Heights High School Theatre Arts Department presents the thirty-fifth festival of new plays, written, directed, performed and co-produced by students, Stages 35: Shaker New Plays Series, March 15, 16, 17 & 18 at 7 PM with a 9:15 PM show on Friday, March 17 in our intimate black box theatre, Stage 3. Six one-act plays will be presented as part of a full season of theatrical events, which began with Urinetown and concludes with Nevermore: A Spring Ensemble Show, in April.

Hot off last week's historic opening night, the producers of Sunday in the Park with George are pleased to announce the show will continue to offer a limited number of tickets $41 each, to celebrate the re-opening of Hudson Theatre as it becomes Broadway's 41st theater. All $41 tickets will be available at Hudson Theatre box office (139-141 West 44th Street) on the day of the performance when the box office opens.
