BroadwayWorld has the scoop on the musical, which played for nine previews at the Longacre Theatre before Broadway shut down on March 12 and will premiere on Netflix ahead of the Broadway opening.

Could Diana be the next musical to be filmed live on stage? Baz Bamigboye of The Daily Mail has reported that the show will be filmed without an audience, and will be available to stream on Netflix prior to returning to Broadway in 2021.

Diana producers Grove Entertainment (Beth Williams), Frank Marshall and The Araca Group celebrated the first preview performance at Broadway's Longacre Theatre today by announcing that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical will be recorded by UMe, a division of Universal Music Group, and released this summer. The cast will go into the recording studio a week after the show's official opening on March 31st. Composer David Bryan and Ian Eisendrath, Musical Supervisor and Arranger, will produce the album.
