On Monday, July 11, the Theater People podcast welcomes Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart. Iglehart made his Broadway debut in 2007 as Mitch in THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. In 2009 he originated the role of Bobby in the Tony Award winning Best Musical, MEMPHIS.

Mitchell Walker and AKA Studio Productions produced Alexa Green's launch party on Sunday, June 19 at 7pm at The Lively featuring Bailen the Band, as well as Broadway veterans Christine Dwyer (WICKED) Amber Iman (SOUL DOCTOR, SHUFFLE ALONG) and Marcus Paul James (RENT, IN THE HEIGHTS). Chris Weaver, Jill Vanderoef, and Blaine Krauss (LION KING, RADIO CITY SPRING SPECTACULAR) sang backup. Green was accompanied on stage by James Sampliner for a special performance as well. On Monday, June 27th, the Theater People podcast welcomes Broadway favorite Betsy Wolfe. She made her Broadway debut in the 2007 production of 110 IN THE SHADE, and in 2010, she returned to Broadway in EVERYDAY RAPTURE.

Broadway's Mixtape, a new concert series featuring Broadway's best talent performing the songs of the artists who have influenced them the most, will debut at New York's iconic rock club Le Poisson Rouge this September. 

WICKED Alum Alexa Green, also seen alongside Neil Patrick Harris and Patti LuPone in Lincoln Center's COMPANY will release her debut album SO GOOD this Friday, June 17th.  SO GOOD, will be released on Broadway Records.

She made her Broadway debut at the age of 15 in the groundbreaking and Tony Award-winning musical SPRING AWAKENING. She went on to originate the role of Natalie in the Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt musical NEXT TO NORMAL, for which she earned a Tony Award nomination.

A re-imagined version of the 1921 musical SHUFFLE ALONG, one of the earliest stage hits starring, written and directed by African-Americans, opened on April 28 on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre. The musical nabbed a total of 10 Tony nominations this year, including nods for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Featured Actor and Actress, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Direction, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations. The starry lineup is set for the encore of the 11th installment of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series: Broadway Sings Whitney Houston. A cast of 15 Broadway stars will sing completely new arrangements of the legendary diva's greatest hits, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations.

The country blues singer will be making her Broadway debut as Lottie Gee.
