The 2025 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has been given to U.S. playwright a.k. payne for their play Furlough's Paradise. Awarded annually since 1978, the prestigious international Prize is the largest and oldest award recognizing women+ who have written works of outstanding quality for the English-speaking theatre. 

The Mary Moody Northen Theatre (MMNT) at St. Edward's University will present the regional premiere of Walden (remix) by KJ Sanchez, playing from April 3 - 13, 2025.

Alliance Theatre has announced the cast and creative team of its upcoming world-premiere co-production, THE RESERVOIR. The RESERVOIR runs on the Herts Stage, March 29 – May 4, 2025. Opening night is Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Filled with romance, misunderstandings, and surprises, the plot focuses on a married playwright couple who are trying to concoct a surefire Broadway hit but create as much drama among themselves as on paper.
