Underscore Theatre Company announces its full 2019-20 Season, featuring two fully-produced musicals, plus the 6th annual CHICAGO MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL.

The Valkyries written by Jessica Owens and directed by Blayze Teicher will be presented as part of The Tank's LadyFest, a festival featuring pieces written, directed, produced, acted, managed, and designed all by female or gender non-confirming artists. The festival is 'in celebration of womxnhood and the female voice, in all its glory.'

Since George Washington took office in 1783, writing letters to the President has provided citizens of all ages, races, political parties, and backgrounds an outlet to express their most personal concerns, hopes, and dreams. Letters to the President reimagines this archival canon of letters as a multi-composer song cycle, with each song inspired by an individual letter in the archive.

Each song is inspired by an individual archival letter and written by a different composer or writing team. The evening will feature composers' songs performed by a Broadway cast alongside readings of the letters that inspired them.

Local Theater Company will open is eighth season of professional theater in Boulder, Colorado, with the world premiere of 'Paper Cut' by Andrew Rosendorf at the Dairy Arts Center on October 17, 2018. An audience favorite earlier this spring during the company's annual new play festival, the show explores the toll of war on a soldier returning home an amputee after an IED explosion.

Agent 355, a new musical with music, lyrics, and book by Preston Max Allen, and book and dramaturgy by Jessica Kahkoska, will have a concert presentation at (le) Poisson Rouge on May 22nd at 8pm. Agent 355 is directed by Sammi Cannold and features music direction and orchestrations by Madeline Smith.
