Award winning actor and playwright David Heron has been cast in the pivotal roles of Oberon, King of the Fairies and Theseus, Duke of Athens in the Colonial Theatre of Rhode Island's Shakespeare in The Park production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The audience is invited to eavesdrop on the vibrant and perilous world of RUSALKA. Blending history with the atmosphere of an underground speakeasy, this world is brought to life by the bar's live house band, playing an eclectic selection of music from the WWII era as well as stylized interpretations of modern music meant to invoke the fire & frenzy of a world at war. The story revolves around two young sisters infiltrate an underground bar catering to jazz-loving Nazis who find an escape in the music they are meant to forbid. One SS Lieutenant in particular welcomes a sweet romance, though the sisters have been tasked to seduce him to a darker fate. The nearby woods await revenge as music, dancing, boozing and secrets weave together to unlock this wild tale of youthful resistance.

Ridley Creek Productions is presenting a staged reading of a play about one man's struggle to fight in an era more unpredictable and more brutal than our own.

MICHAEL L. MARRA ("Les Mis," Broadway & 4th National Tour, and "Jekyll & Hyde" 1st National Tour) stars as "Bill Sykes" in "Oliver!" at The Strand Theater in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA just 25 miles north of the city's central theatre district. While in rehearsal for this momentous event in the development of the growing Strand Theater, SHANE TRELOAR, who is playing "The Dodger" has been cast in the National Tour of "Elf" in the role of "Michael," to begin rehearsals October 7, the week following the closing of "Oliver!" And touring the Eastern United States through the holidays.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival welcomed back Anthony Rapp, as he lead the staged reading of Shawn Cody's epic fantasy THE WATER DREAM directed by Jim True-Frost. Performances ran July 10 & 11 at The Pershing Square Signature Center, The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre (480 West 42nd St.), and waas produced by Royal Family Productions.
